What a surprise!

I was away for a couple days and when I get back I find a big surprise. Not 1 but 2 awards. I'm a little tickled because I am so new to this blogging thing. But Thank You to Dorothy from Hooks 'n Grannies and to Little Orphan Skein for the Award.

Now here are the rules, and what I have to do.

1. I am almost 5 foot tall.. being short is not one of my favorite things.

2.I live in SW Minnesota, and we have had very little snow this year. Yeah

3.I Love thrift shops and garage sales.

4.I like to go play bingo on Thursday nights.

5.I want to learn to make the little crochet critters. Amigurumi, think my grandchildren would love them.

Besides crocheting I also love to take pictures, especially of our Grandchildren. I like to dabble and do different things with them, Here is just a sample.

Tatum this was taken when she had just turned 2. I entered this photo in the county fair and got a 1st. place ribbon. This has to be one of my favorites.

This is just a little walk.

Keagan this child is the hardest kid ever to get a picture of.

This is Gage he is the youngest of the bunch. I had alot of fun doing this one. I may have to enter this one in the fair, who knows.

I am so thankful for our 4 healthy grandchildren, 3 wonderful children

and for a great husband that I have. We are celebrating our 32nd Anniversary

today. I keep teasing him, I think I deserve a diamond for every ten yrs. lol

I'll keep ya posted but I am sure that won't happen. :)

Another round ripple

Hello everyone, wow I feel like I have missed so much. I have been busy trying to catch up on all the little things I keep putting off. This little round ripple was made for my great niece Abby. She's a yr old already wow the time flies. I wanted to put up a picture of the other baby blanket but of course my batteries are dead, so I decided to show you Abby's. Also finished my giant granny blanket.
I am having troubles deciding what to make next. I have so many things I want to do.

Looking for a reversible ripple afghan pattern

Hello friends, I know I haven't been on to blog lately. I have had alot of sick time of flu, bronchitis and fibromyalgia flares. Hoping I am done now that everything happened one after another.
I am looking for a reversible ripple pattern. I seen it in a magazine and now I seem to have misplaced it or it got thrown away. I would appreciate it if someone had some to share.
I will try and get some pictures up in the next day or so of what I have been able to do in the last month or so.

Update on baby blanket

First of all Thank You Debi Y., after I posted my hats I seen her post and she mentioned me. I am pretty shocked since I don't have much going on, on my blog THANK YOU AGAIN.

Some photo's of the baby blanket I want to make it a little bigger

so it's crib sized.

It was different I had to give it a try. Colors aren't very true must be my lighting. The variegated is call bikini, hot pink and yellow. It's alot prettier in person.

Hats, hats and more HATS

Burr its getting cold out and this past weekend we got our first taste of winter lucky we just a dusting. I was asked to make a little girl a hat as hers was to small. Well you can't just make one so all 6 got hats I have one more to do. And of course the boys won't model so you just get to see Tatum.

Something new

I was getting a little bored with my giant granny and so I decided to start a baby blanket for my new great niece that is arriving in February. I wonder if anyone can guess what pattern I'm using?

Weekend Scarf

It's been a pretty busy week for me lots of company Grandchildren mostly which is so FUN. Tatum spent the day with me on saturday, we were going to make cookies then she decided a cake would be better

Her Grandpa thought the cake was a little on the thin order. Hum, I wonder why?

Couldn't be because she liked the batter. Anyway the cake was a big hit.

I decided I needed a new scarf so I whipped up a new I used RH Shimmer the color is a bright teal how ever the camera doesn't show the true color. I had put buttons on it, then beads then decided I would just leave it plain. I wish you could see the shimmer in it, it really is pretty.

Giant granny crochet-along

The First part of October I decided to do a giant granny. I owed a blanket to one of my girls and she wanted one large enough for her bed so here is my progress.

This was Oct. 8, 2011

This is the point I am now it measure's 56 x56 inches now. Oh, and the little guy that had to get his picture taken also that's Jack my little buddy.

I have a habit of getting bore with one stitch so I sometimes mix it up and throw in a row or two of something else just to give it character. Have a wonderful day.

Thank you Debi Y. http://hooksandyarns.blogspot.com/. for inspiring me. Be patient with me as I learn this blogging stuff. :)

This is my grandaughter Tatum she was about 2 at the time (now 4) she decided she was going to try to crochet. And I couldn't even get upset about the mess she made.

This is my first round ripple, made of course for little miss sunshine.
